The chalet is perfectly located to explore the surrounding areas in both summer and winter

Hiking

The High Tatras are right on your door step so can be easily accessed. The mountain range offers varying levels of hikes to cater for all levels. The village of Stbske Pleso is only a short drive up the mountain which offers many walks for hikers.

A little further a field at Tatranska Lomnica you can hike or cable car to the second highest point in the Tatras mountains and enjoy the breathtaking views. If you don’t fancy walking down then you can always race down in a buggy, just make sure you don’t hit a hiker…

Rainy Day Activities

As much as we hope this won’t happen, we can’t control the weather but hopefully we can give you some great recommendations to keep you entertained when the weather just is going your way.

1.Wellness Hotel Patria

Just a short drive or a trip on the Cograilway from Tatransky Leiskovec is Strbske Pleso. You can relax the day away at Welless Hotel Patria’s pool and spa. Adults entry is €30 and children cost €15. We recommend dinner at either Koliba Pleso (which overlooks the ski resort) or Koliba Patria which overlooks the beautiful lake

2.Cograilway Ride across the high Tatras

From the station Tatransky Leiskovec you have access to all the mountain resorts along the high Tatras with the scenic railway line. Take the Cog railway up to Strsbke Pleso and change to one of the trains either going to Tatranska Lomnica or Poprad Tatry and chose which destination you want to explore. If you chose to go to Poprad you can get the fast train back to Strba which takes only 20 minutes and then you can hop on the Cog railway up to Tatransky Leiskovec again. If you visit Poprad be sure to visit the Jazz café which has amazing sweet Lates.

Skiing

Our chalet is perfectly located to explore all the surrounding ski resorts

The largest ski resort in central Europe with over 50km of runs is located in the Low Tatras is about a 45 minute drive away

Strbske Pleso

This family friendly resort is about a 5 minute drive from the chalet

Tatranska lomnica

The largest resort on the High Tatras is about a 30 minute drive from the resort
